A memorial is intended to serve as a reminder and commemoration for people or past events. It may take many forms—a statue, a structure, a garden, or something else—but the purpose remains the same: to remember and honor. The memorials of the Clovis Veterans Memorial District honor the veterans of our community, past and present.

Statue Memorial
The statues of five figures stand in a semi-circle around the boots, rifle, and helmet of a fallen comrade. Each figure represents a different military branch from a different era in our history. The sculpture was completed in 2003 by sculptor Thomas King. “My hope,” said King, “is that each figure represents the spirit of veterans past, who come to assure us that those who fall in the line of duty are never forgotten.”
