A memorial is intended to serve as a reminder and commemoration for people or past events. It may take many forms—a statue, a structure, a garden, or something else—but the purpose remains the same: to remember and honor. The memorials of the Clovis Veterans Memorial District honor the veterans of our community, past and present.

Rose Garden
The Veterans’ Rose Garden was established as part of the district’s 2006-2008 reconstruction. It is a living remembrance of Clovis veterans who gave their lives serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf. The Rose Garden features a “Veteran’s Honor” rose bush for each Clovis veteran who has fallen in the line of duty. The “Veteran’s Honor” rose variety produces a dark, deep red flower and rich green foliage. The Rose Garden is open to the public.
