The District is governed by a five-member board of directors elected by the public every two years for alternating four year terms.

Board Chairman

Tom Wright has held a veteran’s seat on the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Board of Directors since 1975. A life long resident of Clovis, he spent 27 years in the newspaper business before becoming a school teacher and coach. He teaches in Fresno and is a teach-program developer for John Hopkins University’s Centers for Talented Youth. He has served as president of a number of community organizations, and is presently president of the Clovis High School Alumni Association. He is active in the Clovis Rodeo Association, Clovis Historical Society and Lutheran Church. He and his wife Nancy have three adult children and four grandchildren.
